Tuition Payment Information

Fees for Core Professional Trainings and Thematic Workshops

The course fee for the three-day Core Professional Training on Humanitarian Law and Policy is 900 Euros.
The course fee for the two-day Thematic Workshops on International Humanitarian Law is 600 Euros.
The course fee for the five-day Core Training on Leadership and Management in Humanitarian Action is 1500 Euros.

The course fee covers tuition, training material, and most meals. Accepted participants are responsible for accommodation expenses and associated travel costs. For most training locations, participants will have the option to arrange accommodations at a preferred rate.

PHAP offers partial tuition assistance to a limited number of candidates from local and national civil society organizations in developing countries who have been accepted to attend the Advanced Professional Trainings on Humanitarian Law and Policy. Eligible participants may submit a tuition assistance request via the Contact Us page. Due to a high number of tuition assistance requests, only a limited number of admitted training participants are granted tuition assistance. PHAP recommends that interested individuals apply and make their requests as early as possible.

Payment Methods, Deadline, and Cancellation Policy

Applicants to the Core Professional Trainings on Humanitarian Law and Policy will be notified of admission within two weeks from the date their application is received. Accepted applicants will receive an official acceptance letter via email, to which they must reply to confirm attendance. Should the admitted applicant not send a confirmation of attendance once the acceptance letter is received, PHAP reserves the right to admit another applicant in his/her place.

Together with their acceptance letter, admitted applicants will receive instructions regarding the payment of the fees for the course(s) to which they have registered (as well as the annual dues of the professional association, if they are not already a member). Admitted applicants may remit payment either directly online with a credit card or by requesting an invoice and then paying wire transfer, in Euros only, payable to PHAP aisbl. Individuals have the option to pay the course fees and membership dues either together or separately, according to their preference.

Payment of the course fee must be received at the latest four weeks (28 days) prior to the start of the training to which the participant is registered. Otherwise, the participant's seat may be forfeited to another applicant on the waiting list. (For applicants who apply after the regular payment deadline and are accepted to their chosen training(s), the course fee is to be remitted immediately or as indicated on the invoice received.)

In case of cancellation prior to the payment deadline, the participant may opt to participate in an alternative training session at a later date within twelve months (availability permitting) or to receive a refund of their course fee, minus any associated bank transfer fees. No refund will be provided should a cancellation be made after the payment deadline.

The organizers reserve the right to cancel any training or workshop. In such case, PHAP will fully reimburse any associated course fees received from registered participants. PHAP's liability is limited to the reimbursement of course fees only.
